Angelo "Ange" Postecoglou is an Australian football manager and former player. He was born on August 27, 1965, in Athens, Greece but moved to Australia at a young age.
Postecoglou had a successful playing career as a defender, playing for clubs such as South Melbourne and Panachaiki in Greece. He also earned four caps for the Australian national team.
After retiring as a player, Postecoglou moved into coaching and quickly made a name for himself. He has managed several clubs in Australia, including Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory, winning multiple A-League titles with both teams.
Postecoglou also had a successful stint as the head coach of the Australian national team, leading them to victory in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. He is known for his attacking style of play and commitment to developing young players.
In June 2021, Postecoglou was appointed as the new manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic, becoming the first Australian to manage a top-flight European football team. He has already made an impact at the club, guiding them to a Scottish League Cup victory in his first season.
